Our Purpose:
 

      We believe in a personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ, as a foundation for living.  "If you believe that Jesus is the Christ- that He is God's Son and your Savior- then you are a child of God.  And all who love the Father love His children, too." I John 5:1

      We emphasize putting beliefs into action, thus demonstrating loving concern for others.  Jesus said, "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."  Matthew 5:44

Providence Evangelical Friends Church offers a rich fellowship for you and your family, including many outlets for fruitful Christian obedience.

Our Beliefs:

• God is Our Father.

• Jesus Christ is " the Word made flesh" for us.  John 1:1,4

• The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Strengthener, and Guide. John 16:7,13

• A person receives forgiveness through repentance for sins and belief in Jesus Christ as Savior. Acts 2:38

• The mission of the Church is to communicate the Good News of Salvation to people everywhere.  Matthew 28: 18-20

• Each Christian has a spiritual gift that God has given him and we are to help one another develop and use these gifts. I Peter 4:10

• All are called to be ministers.  The New Testament teaches the priesthood of all believers and the real Church is believers, not buildings.  I Peter 2:5-9

• A Christian should seek the filling of the Holy Spirit in his life.  Ephesians 5:18

• As believers we are to love one another as Christ loves us.  I John 4:10
